The severe cold weather this week has left millions without power and water. It is a state-wide emergency! After several days without power and the temperature getting in the low teens, I knew I needed to do something fast. I called Hunt Stone and Fireplace and they went right to work. Due to not having power they sent me many texts of designs, and walked me through choosing the best set of gas logs for my fireplace. The very next morning Ryan Hunt showed up to my house ready to go to work. Mind you, Ryan drove up from Lufkin to Nacogdoches on roads not in the best of conditions. Ryan and his coworker (I apologize, I did not catch his name) were so careful but thorough in the installation. They explained everything that they were doing and walked me through how to operate my new set of gas longs. They were in and out under an hour and a half and I had heat! We went into the shop and looked around, talking with the owner who made some recommendations. About a week later we decided on a certain wood stove and a different location within the house to place it. After putting down a deposit, 2 weeks later the guys showed up to install it. The owner had stated it would take about 4 hours from start to finish. They arrived at 0700 and were done by 1015. These guys installed a wood stove I purchased online, the price they gave me actually dropped $775 after installing ( I'm assuming they didn't need all the pipe they thought they may need) long story short, they did a jam up job and the crew was in and out in 4 hours. I have a Fireplace insert that was purchased from and installed by Hunt Stone and Fireplace about 8 years ago. I went with the one that they recommended based on the square footage of my house, ceiling height, R value of my insulation, etc. what I got was the perfect way to stay warm without having to use my central heat.
